Clover School District has announced that the process for requesting accommodations to change schools for the 2010-2011 school year will begin on March 1, 2010.
Filing a hardship accommodation request is the process parents must use if they desire for their children to attend any school OTHER than the one they are assigned based on district attendance lines.
Forms are available for download on the parent page of the district website (www.clover2.k12.sc.us), or you may click here. In addition, forms may be picked up at the school district office. Completed forms must be returned by June 1, 2010.
Accommodations are granted on a first-come, first-serve basis, depending on need and available space. Typical reasons considered include the need for childcare services outside the assigned school attendance zone or the desire to have a rising fifth grader finish school at his or her current assignment. Accommodations are not granted simply because parents do not wish to comply with published attendance zones. A valid hardship reason is required.
The district CANNOT provide transportation for accommodated students. Transportation to and from school is only available in approved attendance zone areas.
Parents may return completed and signed accommodation requests by mail to:
Ron Wright
Assistant Superintendent for Administrative Services
Clover School District No. 2
604 Bethel St.
Clover, SC 29710
Parents may also scan the completed form with all signatures into a .pdf file and attach it to an e-mail to: ron.wright@clover.k12.sc.us
Unsigned forms cannot be accepted.
Approved accommodation requests will be notified, in writing, by August 1, 2010.
